OVERVIEW:

First aid is everyone\\\'s responsibility. To be prepared to react confidently and without wasting time in either a life-threatening situation or a minor accident. This course will give you the information and the skills you need to help adults and children during many emergency situations. First aid training delivers the latest information in the format that suits you best. The purpose of this course is to help participants identify and eliminate potentially hazardous conditions in their environment, recognize emergencies, and make appropriate decisions for first aid care.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

• To preserve life, prevent the victim’s condition from worsening, and promote recovery.
• Demonstrate basic first aid skills to assess an ill or injured person.
• Demonstrate the skill needed to manage minor and major first aid situations.
• Basic knowledge and training to handle emergency/trauma conditions
• Recall the rationale and technique of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in infants, adults, and children with proper use of the pocket mask.

ELIGIBILITY:

Anyone who acts as a first responder to medical emergency situations i-e, teachers, administrative staff, health care professionals, and household caretakers.
